SOS satellite function on iPhone 14 Series helps one person

K-Play

Apple has announced a new feature called the Emergency SOS Via Satellite, or satellite rescue feature, even though the iPhone 14 Series is out of service. Until recently, there was a report that in the state of Alaska, the United States can help a man after he used this new function to call for help.

The incident happened while he was traveling from one area to another by driving his snowmobile, but was stuck in the ice and could not drive forward. As soon as he had this problem, he turned on the SOS satellite function on his iPhone 14 and called the Alaska Army for help. Because there is no telephone service in the glacier, only satellites can communicate with each other.

Currently, SOS satellite functionality is only available in the United States and Canada, with free use for the first two years. Anyway, hopefully Apple will launch a wider range of functions as well as launch for our country.
