K-Play

After months of rumors, Tim Cook and US President Joe Biden have officially confirmed that Apple will switch to a home-made chip. The plant, located in Arizona, USA, is under construction by TSMC and is valued at $ 12 billion to $ 40 billion.

Of course, this is the US plan to leave the Chinese market by resuming domestic production. Currently, major suppliers for Apple are based in Taiwan, such as TSMC and Foxconn, but due to contact with China, so decided to relocate. TSMC, under construction in Arizona, USA, will produce 4nm as well as next-generation 3nm chips after completion during 2024. In addition to producing the A-Series and M-Series chips for Apple, the new plant will also produce chips for Nvidia as well.

Recently, there was a report that Apple is also increasing production in India and Vietnam, reducing its reliance on China.
